A curated & character set collection of gorgeous leather bound and gold antique books; these are so lovely to have on hand for open shelves, cabinet shelves and to actually read & enjoy if you can read french.
This set was issued in 1854 'La Mode' a French publication focused on politics, religion, and literature. These journals were famously used as a mouthpiece for Legitimist royalist factions in France. They were published in Paris on the Rue de Choiseul, number 8 & 10.
Dimensions: L 9.5" x 6.3" W
In good antique condition, very rustic and full of patina. There is an "antiquey smell to them". If you love history and very old books, they are for you!!
