These trivets used to be placed over a platter as a colander. Now a days they make a lovely staging piece or perfect to hang on the wall.
It can be used as a trivet or pan stand as well.
This piece is marked featuring the “STAR” pattern by Bates, Gildea & Walker, Late Mayers an earthenware manufacturer operated in England between 1878 and 1881.
Dimensions: L 14” x 9.75” x .5” D.
Condition:
in good antique condition, as founded. Crazing and some discoloration, a small thin hairline crack. Please see photos. Great condition considering its age!!
