Lovely french antique salt-glazed stoneware jar features a classic cylindrical shape, a rolled rim, and a weathered beige grey finish. These primitive 19th century crocks were traditionally used for preserving foods, pickling, or storing dry goods.

It is stamped! With number “2” by P Langeron Pont des Vernes. Sarthe & Loire. RARE FIND!

In good antique condition, as founded, great patina with the glaze. Inside there is a crack but it does not go through the outside its on the side of the crock inside closer to the top of the vase.
